How The Green Egg was "Hatched"

In 2008 Tracey Davidow hatched The Green Egg, an eco-friendly children's shop in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. The store offered unique gifts and fun, fashionable clothing, including her own line of hand-stitched tees. As time progressed, people began to notice the store with the bird and egg sign out front. A warm bond was made with the community and her tees began to pop up all around town. Sharing our eco-friendly mission with our customers was important to us, and it was soon apparent that the tees became the symbol of that mission. Now based out of Stowe, Vermont, The Green Egg is a family run business that can be found in stores nationwide and on a little one near you!

Our work with Haiti Projects

In 2010, we launched our affiliation with the Haiti Projects, a non-profit organization located in Fond des Blancs, Haiti. The Haiti Projects empower women in rural Haiti to lift themselves out of poverty, become self-sufficient, and build community.  The Green Egg’s mission was to provide as much work possible, thus bringing an income to the women artisans. Haiti Projects is certified with the Fair Trade Federation with wages above standards and excellent working conditions. During our 2 year relationship we managed to send the women over 7,000 t-shirt, paying by the piece. Our entire onesie collection is still being sold today, so with each purchased you can feel good about helping build a community.
